Craft of Uzbekistan !

I recently returned from an amazing journey of Uzbekistan! Being at the heart of the historical silk road - Uzbekistan has a huge variety of traditional crafts and skills. From metal work; to silk paper making; to hand woven carpets - this central asian country has much to offer any craft enthusiast.

Across the next few weeks I will be introducing you to these traditional Uzbek crafts. Many of these manufacturing processes were nearly lost; but have been revived for the benefit of the local people and of course the visitors to this spectacular country.
