NZ Gift & Homeware Show -Spring

Meryth showcased her gift and homeware products at the NZ Gift and Homeware Fair in Auckland from the 30th of August to 1st September 2026. 

Her new tea towels, cushion covers, make up bags, tote bags, and aprons were on show alongside her better-known NZ native bird greeting cards.

The opportunity to meet buyers, retailers, makers and creators was immensely helpful and has already developed into some potential collaborations. Meryth is a social butterfly at these things and made the most of the experience, gathering great advice from a range of people. ‘It is a difficult time to start a business, but you never know unless you try!’ 

This gift fair was the official launch of Meryth’s new range of textile products. The textile was designed by Meryth using her classic black ink bird artworks and is sure to be a classic. These products are ethically made in Bali, from 100% cotton with an environmentally friendly digital printing method. This printing method is non-toxic and there is no dye run off polluting waterways. 

Spending the weekend with other small businesses at the NZ Gift Fair was a real highlight of the last few months and no doubt Meryth will be back again!
